SIGNS THAT INDICATE BAD SIGHT

Changes in poor eyesight in children are not always immediately apparent. However, there are a number of signs that indicate that a child may have impaired sight. These are:

  • Squinting
  • Frequent eye rubbing
  • Lack of eye contact
  • Burning eyes
  • Blink
  • Frequent headaches
  • Too close writing distance in school
  • Concentration problems
  • Nervousness
  • Loss of performance due to myopia

It is therefore advisable to consult an ophthalmologist at these first signs in order to counteract ametropia as early as possible.
